When Heaven Speaks Over Dead Things...
When Heaven Speaks Over Dead Things
Key Verse: Ezekiel 37:26 (NKJV)
“Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.”
Introduction:
Have you ever walked through a season where everything felt dry, dead, and forgotten?
You’ve prayed, but nothing moved.
You’ve hoped, but the door remained shut.
You’ve served, but life felt stuck—buried under layers of disappointment and delay.
This is exactly where Israel found itself in Ezekiel 37. Scattered. Captive. Forgotten. Their hope was as lifeless as a valley full of dry bones. But right in the middle of that desolation, heaven began to speak.
1. The Valley of Dry Bones — A Picture of Us
Ezekiel 37:11 says, "Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!"
That wasn’t just Israel’s condition—it’s ours too at times.
The job loss that left you empty.
The relationship that broke your spirit.
The ministry dream that died in silence.
God didn’t ignore the bones. He brought His prophet into the valley—not to judge, but to prophesy life.
3. The Promise: “I Will Establish and Multiply You”
4. A Sanctuary in the Middle
“I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.” (v.26)
This isn’t just about physical land—it’s about God’s presence.
God says, “You will not walk alone anymore. My glory will rest on you.”
In today’s language:
His peace will fill your home.
His hand will guide your decisions.
His Spirit will breathe over your dry places.
Application: What This Means for Us Today
Dead situations can still become divine setups.
That business dream you buried?
That ministry calling you thought was over?
That prayer you stopped praying?
Don’t give up yet. If God could raise dry bones, He can rebuild your broken season.
God will:
Establish your feet again.
Multiply what you thought was wasted.
Set His presence where there was only pain.
Closing Reflection:
You may feel forgotten, but God hasn’t forgotten how to restore.
If heaven still speaks, dry bones can still live.
What are the “dry bones” in your life?
Ask the Lord to breathe on them again.
Because when heaven speaks, even the least of these can rise as an army.
Prayer:
Father, I bring You the dry, forgotten, broken places of my life.
Speak over them.
Establish me again.
Multiply what I thought was wasted.
Let Your sanctuary—Your presence—fill my life again.
I believe You can breathe life into what’s dead. I receive Your Word, Your promise, and Your peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
