The Gaze That Never Left You- For the soul that says, “No one sees me. No one cares.”
There is a kind of weariness that no
one else seems to notice.
You show up. You do your best. But deep down, there’s a lingering ache:
“Does anyone truly see me? Does
anyone care that I’m tired, afraid, or silently fading?”
And sometimes, that ache grows into
a lie:
“Maybe even God has looked away.”
But heaven interrupts that thought
today with a fierce and tender truth:
“You are the apple of My eye.”
“You are hidden beneath the shadow of My wings.”
— Psalm 17:8, Zechariah 2:8
This is not poetry. It’s prophecy.
You have not been forgotten. You are not invisible.
You are the center of His gaze—and He has never looked away.
You
Were Never Unseen
When your tears fell alone in that
room…
When you were misunderstood, misused, or overlooked…
When you tried to explain what hurt and no one seemed to listen…
The eyes of the Lord were on you.
Not in judgment—but in mercy.
Not from afar—but up close, like a Shepherd watching His wounded sheep.
“The eyes of the Lord are on the
righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.” — Psalm 34:15
He has watched over you—not as a
bystander, but as a Father.
You have never left His line of sight.
Even when you couldn’t feel Him…
You were still the apple of His eye.
Protected
in the Pattern of His Love
All throughout Scripture, God’s eyes
are not passive—they are protective.
“He found him in a desert land… He
kept him as the apple of His eye.”
— Deuteronomy 32:10
When Israel wandered, God surrounded them, covered them, and carried them—even
when they didn’t know it.
David, hunted by Saul, cried out:
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye.” And God did. Every spear missed. Every plot
failed. David lived to fulfill his calling.
Peter, locked in prison and bound
for execution, was rescued by an angel. The guards were powerless—because
heaven’s eyes were on him.
Even in Gethsemane, Jesus shielded
His disciples and said, “If you seek Me, let these go.”
His love defends, even while He’s being wounded.
And so, for you too:
You are not just watched—you are defended.
You are not just known—you are shielded.
When something touches you, it touches Him.
“Whoever touches you touches the
apple of His eye.” — Zechariah 2:8
What
Does God Expect of You Today?
God’s gaze over you is not only
protective—it is purposeful.
He has preserved you not just to survive, but to walk in your assignment.
So today, rise again—
Not with fear, but with the quiet boldness of someone who is still chosen.
Wherever you are:
- In your home — show love that restores and
forgives.
- In your workplace — be a light of honesty,
diligence, and hope.
- In your private struggles — return to prayer,
pick up the Word, and trust Him again.
- In your ministry or calling — speak what He’s
given you, even if your voice trembles.
He has kept you for such a time as
this.
Not to be silent. Not to be small. But to walk forward with heaven’s favor
still resting on your life.
Prayer
Father, I confess—I’ve felt
forgotten. I’ve assumed no one saw, no one cared. But You were watching all along.
Keep me as the apple of Your eye. Hide me in the safety of Your wings.
Heal the places where I’ve been wounded by neglect or fear, and stir again the
purpose for which I’m still alive.
Today, I rise—not just in emotion, but in obedience.
Let Your eyes guide me, shield me, and send me.
Amen.
A
Whisper to Carry
He never looked away.
Even when I broke.
Even when I ran.
His eyes were steady.
Now I rise in the gaze of God—
Seen, kept, and called.
