The Breaker Goes Before You

The Breaker Goes Before You

Key Verse: Micah 2:13

"The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their King will pass before them, with the Lord at their head."

Introduction:

Everyone has challenges in life that we cannot move past easily. Micah 2:13 tells us a wonderful truth: God Himself is "The Breaker" who precedes us.  When you follow His leading, there will be no barriers and no enemy can hinder you.

Open impossible doors

The Barriers We Face in Life:

• Fear & Anxiety – fears that stop us from moving forward.

• Sin & guilt -  make it difficult for us to move ahead.

• People's Opinions — fear of rejection and criticism.

• Spiritual Opposition — demonic resistance and warfare.

• Discouragement & Delay — Prolonged  waiting season and unanswered prayers

Who is The Breaker?

Micah refers to the Lord as the One who "breaks open" the way.  Psalm 24;7-10 refers to Him as the "King of Glory, the Lord strong and mighty in battle." This King of Glory is no one else but our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus isn’t just sitting back watching, but He is in the thick of the fight, helping His people move past whatever tries to stop them and guiding them out safely. As Psalm 107:16 says: "He shatters the gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron." He still does it today—for you.

Breaks every barrier

The God Who Goes Before You: What He Does

1. Breaks Every Barrier:

  • God gets rid of things like sin, fear, shame, curses, problems that have been going on for generations, any delay, lack of progress, and all sorts of opposition.
  • As the walls of Jericho came tumbling to the ground (Joshua 6), God also breaks down the strongholds that get in your way.

 2. Opens Impossible Doors:

  •  He parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14), and stopped the Jordan River so the people could cross on dry ground (Joshua 3).
  • God makes a way where there seems to be no way

3. Fights Your Battles:

  • To Jehoshaphat, God uttered: "The battle is not yours, but God's" (2 Chronicles 20:15).
  • He proceeds, bewilders your foes, and provides you with triumph beyond man's comprehension.

4. Leads You to Destiny:

  • As the cloud during the day and fire at night (Exodus 13:21-22), God walks with you and guides you every step of the way.
  • He shows you the way to go, leads you to choose good things, and works out a plan for your future.

 5. Brings You Out with Honor:

• Joseph rose from the prison to the palace.

• The Prodigal Son was welcomed back by getting a new robe, a ring, and a special, celebratory meal (Luke 15).

6. Gives You Rest:

  • Exodus 33:14 — "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
  • Resting in His presence eliminates fear and anxiety.

What Does God Ask From Us in Order to Be With Us?

1. Total Surrender & Obedience:

  • Psalm 119:168 — "For all my ways are before You."  Yield to His leading, even when it doesn't make sense.
  • Like Moses, stretch out your staff in faith, even when the situation seems to be impossible.

2. Walk in Holiness:

  • God's presence dwells on a holy life. Exodus 33:14
  • Repentance clears the path for His power to manifest.

3. Persistent Prayer & Praise:

  • Prayer invites God's intervention.
  • Praise confuses the enemy and invites God's throne (Psalm 22:3), even when it's toughest.

4. Trust His Timing:

  • Don't run ahead of Him.
  • Always wait until The Breaker has gone in front of you and removed all of the obstacles.

God will make a way

Remember This Truth:

  • For every wall, The Breaker breaks through.
  • For every Red Sea, He parts the way.
  • For every Jericho, He brings the walls down.
  • For every prison, He opens the doors.
  • You follow. He leads. Victory is sure.

Conclusion:

Whatever obstacles you face—be they physical, spiritual, emotional —The one who goes before you will overcome them.  His word remains: "You will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it." (Micah 2:13). You are not stuck. Your King is taking you out. Victory is not by your strength but by His breakthrough power.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You are my Breaker. Go before me today, and break all the Barrier the enemy has placed. Get rid of all the things that stop me from doing Your will. Lead me through victory, In Jesus' name, Amen.
